Sport… if winning isn’t everything, why do they keep score?

Cycle touring the Val du Loire

I’m off on my hols to France for 2 weeks tomorrow morning! :)

I’m taking my bike (entrusting it to Ryanair baggage handlers - thankfully it’s covered by insurance). I finally have all my gear sorted (thanks for the Camelbak guys - cool present!).

I’ll be bringing my camera so will update this de temps en temps with some pics from the Loire Valley - hopefully will get some nice weather to sit out and enjoy the wine in.

My faithful companion in this endeavour is my little 18yr old cousin, who shall help me with aforementioned wine consumption.

Enjoy work y’all!

[...] Now that you have a realistic budget you need to decide the type of bike you want. This choice is dependent on what you will definitely be using the bike for, and what you think you may use the bike for. You might want to lose weight, or commute to work, cycle with your kids on the weekend or get into road racing or triathlons. Three months after buying it you might suddenly decide you want to go on a bike tour to France. It helps to be a little prescient :) [...]
